Sizes in the US system (the most common for engagement rings). Falling between two? Choose the larger.

Small details that make the difference between "it fits" and "it fits perfectly".
Fingers swell slightly; the afternoon size is the most realistic.
Cold shrinks the finger. Avoid measuring with chilly hands.
A thick band (3 mm+) fits tighter; consider a half size more.
Repeat at different moments and average for confidence.
